MLA Podcast Episode 17 Has A Hidden Gem!

For those of you that haven’t heard MyLipAddiction’a Beauty Podcast yet, the always energetic/up for anything Cat Forsley and her sarcastically hilarious co-host Stashy chat about all aspects of beauty.

From vaginoplasty to the latest palette launch! Beauty is taken to new heights so please don’t be shocked at what you might hear. The image below is courtesy of Stashy’sย post about episode 17 where we talk about bad makeovers. Any questions about this brilliantly disturbing picture should be directed her way. lol. Cat’s says this is her favorite so far, as she states in a lovely Marilyn/Madonna artsy type post.ย For me, episode 17 is a down-to-earth hilarious chat among friends about beauty brands, bad makeovers, and soda or pop as some call it!

Many thanks to Cat & Stashy for the fun times and great conversation. I talk a lot because I’m passionate about what I love/hate and MLA sets me loose for the 3rd time in episode 17. I love getting an invitation to chat with 2 women that are amazing, for different reasons. They are polar opposites and that’s what makes MyLipAddiction Podcast work. It’s the difference in personality, opinion, and style that makes the podcast so interesting.

Go listen to ย what MLA coined these delicious treats…..

Small look at my huge jackpot of beauty

I’m so lucky, to be part of something that is not only inspiring, but it’s like the lights on the ever spinning beauty carousel but with new scenery on every ride. I mean, let’s face it….if you are reading this then you’re on the same damn carousel! Why not add new scenery and lights right?

Come ride the carousel with me,
enjoy yourself, smile, giggle with glee.
Miniature brass band, music is playing,
up and down motion gently swaying.

Spinning faster enjoying the ride,
let out a laugh with your heart open wide.
Around and around, up and down,
everyone smiling, no time for a frown.

I usually don’t quote poetry but parts of this one fit the theme, and now that I’ve turned this post into a full on circus…go get your popcorn, relax, and listen:

  1. Left Stashy a long comment on her blog about the podcast! You guys really do seem to have so much fun!
    Here’s what I wrote;
“About packaging being no indication of what the product represents, Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks are the perfect example! Crappy packaging with an awesome product!
We call them gaseous drinks! HAHAHA!!!
MAC MUAs get a bad rep all over the world huh! Wow! If someone else can tell you have too much blush on, you HAVE TOO MUCH BLUSH ON!
Oh, YouTube video editing is a nightmare! I took days to edit content down to a 5 minute video!”

    • I’m so glad you did!! Totally agree about Wet n Wild. I’ve been wearing their lipstick since high school and they are so underrated!! Perfect example of minimal packaging, good product, great price. Have you seen that Pat McGrath packaging….I’m sorry for that price there is no excuse for cheap packaging ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป.
As for MAC muas, I’m sure they all aren’t overly creative all the time, the real issue is: if I’m paying, you should do what we ask, not what you feel would look better. I’m not as minimal so I would’ve been ok with the work she did but my daughter was completely too young and uncomfortable with all that makeup. Lol. In the MUA’s defense, she may have assumed my daughter was wearing an elaborate gown but it was very plain but elegant.
I really don’t think I could find the time to edit YouTube videos unless I quit my job. Haha

      • MUAs tend to be a little defensive and bigoted about their particular way of applying makeup. They also fail to realise that often, most people just want to look like their most fabulous self. The operative word being “self”. You wanna look like yourself, am I not right?
Well, with Pat McGrath half your money is going towards the sequins anyway. ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜›

      • I do want to look like my best self and I see am mua as someone who can envision that, but I’m not an artist….OMG there is a freakin pound of sequins in this bag. The should’ve added an adhesive to the kit, I would’ve applied them on my lips (and that would be my best self) ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

  2. Hey it’s so weird, this post doesn’t show up on your blog but only through the direct link from the pingback?
So glad you came back for round 3, you’re the token American / honourary Canadian!
When you say that Cat and I are polar opposites, you’re saying that I’m the sane one and she’s the cuckoo one, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰
