PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel Review

The weekend is finally here and I thought I would kick it off with a skin care product that I’ve been testing for over a week. I feel like it’s been a bit since I’ve done a single product review. When I received PCA Skin’s Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel, I was excited because I love eye products!!

At my age, it’s important to me to keep my eyes looking fresh and wrinkle free. For most of us, our eye area is the first part of the face to decline with age. Getting a nice head start on a good eye routine is the best advice I can give all you beauties out there.

Let’s start with some PCA Skin history, the company has been around for 25 years and they take pride in using clinically backed research and science along, an in-house PhD chemist, and a research team to formulate professional treatments and daily care products. PCA Skin sets high standards that mirror pharmaceutical companies. They use ingredients found naturally in the skin and body to prevent reactions. Their products are tested on patients in medical offices and they have a no tolerance policy on animal testing. PCA Skin loves to educate clinicians and consumers and their website had a huge education section, where you can learn the science of skin and why the ingredients they use work.

PCA Skin Ideal Complex

Ideal Complex revitalizing eye gel comes packages in a squeeze tube containing 0.5 oz. of product. Considering it’s an eye treatment, that is a lot of product. The Texture is a silky and light weight gel. Even if you are not a fan of gels, you might be surprised by this. As always, I will tell you what the company description and product claims are then tell you my experience and impression of the product. Drumroll please….

Here is What PCA Skin has to say about Ideal Complex revitalizing eye gel:

Here are the key ingredients:

Myristol Nonapeptide-3: mimics retinoic acid for quick cell turnover and collagen synthesis without irritation.

Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Callus Culture Extract (Orange Stem Cell Extract): increases production of collagen & elastin; organizes and redensifies the dermal structure to reduce fine lines & wrinkles, and increasing elasticity and firmness.

Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract and Darutoside: reduces upper eyelid sagging, strengthens the dermis and reduces crows feet, while addressing dark circles & puffiness.

Myristoyl Pentapeptide-8 and Myristoyl Hexapeptide-4: peptides that stimulate collagen synthesis and tissue repair, providing an alternative to human growth factor.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38: next generation peptide that stimulates collagen I, II, and IV to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate: next generation peptide that has a fast-acting wrinkle soothing effect around the eyes, diminishing wrinkles and expression lines.

Ok, I know….lots of science there but that’s the foundation of PCA Skin’s products. Of course my auto correct was going nuts but I wanted you all to see the science and clinical effort behind the product.

My Experience: The directions state-after cleansing, toning, and PCA serums to the face, pat a small amount gently around the eye area and on the lid, in the morning and evening. There is no scent that I can detect. Let me try to put into words the texture of this gel. I wouldn’t believe it was gel if I didn’t know and see what the product looks like. It appears to be a typical gel until you pat it on, it feels so silky smooth that if I closed my eyes I would think it was a cream. I am not a fan of gels because they usually just sit on top of my skin and never sink in. NOT Ideal Complex, my skin just drinks this up. It’s very soothing, especially after makeup removal. I actually looked forward to using it. I applied the revitalizing gel to my entire eye area every morning and night for a little over a week.

My Impression: I LOVE this stuff!! I could immediately tell that it was a luxurious high-end product. I have tried so many eye products over the years and haven’t encountered a product that does everything. I have puffiness every morning, bouts of dark circles, fine lines, and sagging eyelids. YES, I need the works. lol. In a weeks time, my dark circles and puffiness are gone and haven’t returned. My eyes definitely feel firmer and it sounds crazy but my eyes look bigger. I have bad scarring on one eyelid and I am hoping with continued use my eyelid will gain better strength. I can honestly say that all claims are true and I prefer using a product with ingredients found naturally in the skin and body. This is a 5 star product and I fully recommend it if you are battling the same issue I am……aging skin.

PCA Skin Ideal Complex revitalizing eye gel retails for $84 USD and you can find it right here.

Any Questions or comment….Give me some lip!

  1. I need this. I read about this on a couple of other blogs and I’m convinced that I need to shell out C$100 for this miracle eye gel! I’ve been worrying about my eyelids – currently I’m using a Mary Kay product which is discontinued. I don’t see a lot of products address eyelids – most are about under eye puffiness or darkness. I’ll have to see where this brand is sold.

  2. Oop Christine. I’m sorry. I’m on my phone and thought I was responding to a Glossybox post. YES this eye gel really works. I see more improvement with each use. Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day!

    • I have 4 subscriptions and this is def my favorite but it’s also the most expensive $21/mo. I would love to know what you think if you decide to do it. Thanks for stopping by!!!
