Review: Spa At Home With Valentia Skin Detoxifying Mask

I love to spa at home because it’s cheaper and I feel more comfortable in my own home. Valentia has several products that can assist in a spa at home day. I’ve been working with their products long enough to know and trust the brand. I recently had the opportunity to try their newest Skin Detoxifying mask. Valentia says this mask was made to draw out impurities, improve skin tone, reduce pore size, and firm & strengthen the skin. That’s a lot to live up to!

Valentia is a brand that creates products that are natural, toxin-free, paraben free. To learn more about Valentia you can follow them on social media:

They also like to educate their consumers about the ingredients contained in their products so here is the breakdown of ingredients and the percentage you are getting in the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask:

Kaolin Clay : The foundation of this mask is Kaolin Clay, a gentle but powerful clay widely known for its detoxifying powers. Kaolin clay minerals draw out skin impurities, improve skin tone, and tighten pores for smoother firmer skin.

Plants Stem Cells, 3% : This French developed constituent naturally decreases the level of pro-aging toxins. This helps to soothe the skin, reduce redness, and improve evenness.

Wakame Bioferment, 2% : One of the only known substances known to tackle aging at the source. Derived from seaweed, a natural youthening ingredient, it delivers potent anti-aging effects, boosting cell efficiency to minimize damage at the cellular level where aging begins.

Vitamin C, 5% : Latest research shows Vitamin C plays a key role in combating exposure to everyday environmental elements like sunlight and air pollution. Vitamin C protects skin for harmful UV rays and neutralizes free radicals to combat fine lines, wrinkles, and improve skin tone and texture.

Matrixyl, 3% : A unique peptide that specifically work by stimulating collagen synthesis and skin repair. This means the protein collagen of skin is increased, giving skin its elasticity.

CoQ10, 1% : Occurring naturally in the human body and responsible for cell production, CoQ10 lessens the appearance of wrinkles by reducing free radical damage and stimulating healthy collagen production.

Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask

If you are like me, and check the ingredients on everything then…wow that’s a lot of natural right there! Now let’s get to the review. This mask comes in a 4oz. tub and will last me a very long time. The directions state to apply generously to the face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 15-20 minutes or until mask dries. Use a damp cloth and warm water to remove. As the mask has natural fibers, use a circular motions to remove the mask and helping to slough off dead skin and exfoliate. I was shocked at the scent of this mask, usually clay masks smell a little funky and not in a bad way just a clay way. Not this one, it’s has a lovely scent of hibiscus and cranberry that I can’t get enough of, I seriously loved the scent! The clay is tan with little black beads and reminds me of vanilla bean ice cream. The texture is not like a typical clay, it feels cold and jelly/creamy to the touch. It’s not stiff or hard to work with, as clay masks can be. I loved that it was super easy to apply and I got a really nice even layer on my face. I have to admit I was a little nervous to apply this because the last Valentia mask had an intense tingle sensation. My fears were warranted, this one has the same intense tingling but only lasts for about 30 seconds then starts to fade.

Impression: Other than the intense tingle for the first 30 seconds, this mask smells great, applies easily, and feels refreshing while on. It was easy to wash off and some of the results were instant. My face was extra smooth and really soft. My pores were visibly smaller. The most exciting part about this mask was how bright it made my skin. I would absolutely use this before going out or heading to an event because the brightness was instant.

  1. Me too!! I like it so much better than the first mask they put out. This one works for my skin!! I really have to be careful about closing my pores with cold water or the tingling is intense!!! Thanks for reading!!
