derma e Psorzema Creme Review; A Natural Approach To Skin Issues

It’s not typical for me to talk about my family or personal issues on hippylip and I always stay on the topic of beauty products or fashion.  My husband and daughter both suffer from severe Psoriasis. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder causing an overgrowth of skin cells. Normal skin cell reproduction is 28-30 days but for people with psoriasis it’s every 3-4 days causing inflammation, skin redness, and dry scale like patches. In addition to being itchy and painful, it can cause low self-esteem. For years we have tried prescription and over the counter medications and nothing really helps. My daughter has even tried medication that gets injected into the skin.

derma e is a company that takes pride in being one of the first to use vitamins and plant-based ingredients in their skin care products. They were heathy before healthy was “in”. derma e is a brand I have been using for a long time back when they could only be found at Whole foods but now their products are much more accessible through their website, health food stores, Target, and some drugstores.

When derma e launched a new line of products geared specifically for eczema and psoriasis, you could imagine how excited I was. At this point, my family was tired of the traditional medical treatments and we were researching alternatives with natural ingredients and dietary changes (you are what you eat theory). Here is derma e’s pin with dietary information:

Psorzema Creme is made with a safe and effective blend of herbal extracts and skin vitamins such as Neem, Burdock, Bearberry, Vitamins A and E. These ingredients work together to soften and soothe dry, irritated, and scaling skin.

dermae Psorzema Creme

Psorzema Creme comes in a 4 oz. container which will last a very long time. It’s white and creamy and has absolutely no detectable scent. It’s super creamy and spreads on nice and smooth. for being as heavy as it feels we were expecting it to stay greasy or take some time to sink in. We were completely wrong, this creme leaves no residue and sinks in amazingly fast. My husband and daughter both say that it gives them instant relief from the itchy, burning feeling they have on their inflamed areas. The morning after my husband applied this creme, for the first time, the scales where gone and the redness decreased to a light pink. He has since been using it daily and it keeps the scales and redness at bay. This is the first natural treatment we have tried and it seems to work better than any prescription medication we’ve tried. My daughter has since gone out and bought her own Psorzema Creme. I would fully recommend anyone with dry skin, eczema, or psoriasis to give this a try. I can’t stress enough how important it is to moisturize when you have psoriasis or eczema and Psorsema is an excellent choice to get the inflammation down and maintain your condition.

  1. SO glad you posted this. I’ve been trying a lot of products from this brand lately on my skin and really like it due to its being so gentle and natural for my abundant issues. I had no idea that they had this line in their arsenal. I would love to try their entire line of this product as well. I would love to hear about the results your family achieves with the hair/scalp product too. I never suffered any issues with anything like this until my mid-thirties and then suddenly; one after the other, auto immune disorders popping up. I’ve also tried it all, dermatologists and prescriptions and nothing works. The traditional shampoos designed for scalp psoriasis are extremely harsh, especially on lightened, drier hair. My hair is thick and long so it damaged my hair severely, breaking it off…a whole nightmare, lol. the discomfort of having psoriasis and/or eczema, to me, is worse than most of the severe pain issues I’ve encountered in my life. It’s sad that so little can help the issues and that nothing can cure them. xx

    • I’m so sorry to hear that! I know firsthand how devastating psoriasis can be. My daughter has had severe psoriasis since birth and my husband for 2 yrs. We’ve tried everrlrnprescription & OTC remedy available. My daughter opted for Enbrel injections and it’s been a complete miracle for her but lots of labs, follow up appts, and side effects to consider. My husband opted to try more natural remedies. I can’t really say how well the Psorzema shampoo & conditioner work because it hasn’t been long enough. The body wash and cream will keep his skin moisturized and under control. I suggest you give it a try and see what you think. Use the link in my post to get free samples of the cream. Also I will be posting information about another natural product made by father/son dermatologists. Whatever you decide, please let me know.
