Unboxing March 2016 Glossybox

Happy Monday!

Just in case you guys missed it, the infamous Cat Forsley from mylipaddiction.com did a feature post on me yesterday!! I couldn’t be more flattered or thank her enough! You guys really need to follow her blog, she is amazing! Let’s jump right into Glossybox March 2016 Unboxing.

Every month Glossybox sends me 5 beauty products including niche, high-end, and emerging brands. The products are housed in a beautifully packaged reusable box for $21/month. I really can’t say enough about the how pretty the packaging is. Inside is a folded card describing each product and offering tips, tricks or tidbits which is convenient and sometimes fascinating.

March’s box was the traditional pink box with the products neatly wrapped in pink tissue paper and tied with classic black ribbon. Occasionally they do have themed boxes, especially for holidays or special events. Of the three monthly subscriptions that I get, Glossybox is definitely the one I look forward to the most. They have really introduced me to the most emerging brands. They also send a lot of brands that I already know & love. They do send full-size items but some are in luxury size mostly in part to all the high-end brands. All of my boxes have been worth well over the $21 I pay. This is definitely a box worth spending the money on. The March box contained 4/5 full-size items! WHAT?! Yes I said FOUR FULL-SIZE products!

My thoughts: My estimated value of this box is $80, almost four times what I paid and 100% worth it. I am completely excited and satisfied with the products this month. This is a 5 star box in my opinion. The Melted lipstick alone was more than the cost of the box. Melted is my favorite item this month and absolutely lives up to its claims. The shade is perfect for me so I am (literally) wearing it everyday. Honestly I wasn’t expecting too much from Marsk’s Mineral shadow but It quickly became a favorite. The shade is versatile, the pigment is insane, and it blends easily. I am now looking forward to trying the wet/matte trick. Luxie was a first for me (again…LOVE Glossybox for this reason). The bristles on this brush are truly as soft as described and blends out my highlighting perfectly without fall-out. I have had Eyeko Eyliners in the past and wasn’t a fan but I do love a felt tip liner and I am looking forward to giving this a try. I have owned and loved Crabtree & Evelyn products before and I loved them. Although I need hand cream desperately, this is the one thing I am so bad at!! I never remember to use it. I do love the scent & texture so I will make an effort to use this hand cream!

I do have some swatches for you guys so you can see how pigmented all three makeup items are.

  1. Ooh a C&E hand cream – those are nice! And that’s a perfect purse size! I’ve heard good things about the Eyeko liners. I hope you like this more than the others ones you’ve tried. 🙂
And WOWSERS! A full size Too Faced lipstick?!! That Chihuahua shade is one that Cat recommended to me! Amazing that was included in the box. Now I can see why you look forward to Glossybox most! 😀

    • The Eyeko liner isn’t bad actually. I’m getting pretty good at using the felt tip type. Of course I have the hand cream in my purse and still haven’t used it 🙈. I LOVE the Melted so much that I carried it everywhere and it’s currently missing 😡 Please pray that I find it soon. Lol Thanks for reading!!
