Let’s start this week right with TWO product reviews from Valentia. I love trying products from new companies, especially when their ingredients are natural and organic. Summers are much easier on my skin and I can’t wait for it to get here but in the meantime, I need some heavy-duty products to keep from getting dry/peeling skin. I have been into skin care all winter long and I must say that I have been doing a pretty good job at staying moisturized during this cold/dry winter.
Valencia True Glow Eye Cream
Here is some product information from Valentia:
REDUCES WRINKLES & FINE LINES: Resistem (Plant Stem Cells) visibly improves the appearance of fine lines while potent antioxidants Astaxanthin and CoQ10 neutralize free radical damage encountered daily and prompt collagen production; protecting the delicate under eye area and improving skin texture.
LIGHTENS DARK CIRCLES: Arnica works to stimulate white blood cell activity, relieving trapped fluid and bruising, leaving the eye are refreshed and brightened.
DEPUFFS EYE AREA: Naturally derived Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a unique type of Vitamin C known as one of the most effective and deeply penetrating topical antioxidants, gives eye cream an extra boost by improving skin circulation. Leaving under eyes visibly brighter for a well-rested, bright-eyed look.
NOURISHES & HYDRATES: The skin around eyes is thinner and more fragile than the rest of the facial area and therefore needs deep hydration to remain soft and toned. Organic Rosehip Oil, botanical Hyaluronic Acid, and our Proprietary Silk Protein Amino Acid Blend are nature’s most powerful sources of hydration, for a smoother eye area.
PERFECT BOTH MORNING & NIGHT: True Glow Eye Cream is formulaically balanced for both day and night usage. Glides on smoothly and absorbs quickly, leaving eyes hydrated and refreshed. Will never leave the under eye area feeling greasy or sticky, and wears flawlessly all day under makeup.
My experience using Valentia True Glow Eye Cream:
I love the packaging. Two key things I look for in eye cream packaging is a pump and light protection. Good ingredients need protection from exposure and sun light. Also there is a large amount provided, considering it’s an eye cream, in a 1.18 ounce bottle. Directions state to apply morning and night after cleansing. Apply a small amount to eye area using a gentle patting motion. When pumped, it gives off a good amount of product enough for both eyes. The color is a very pale orange and I am guessing it’s an indication of vitamin C? Also the scent is that of fresh orange rind and If I closed my eyes I would think that I had an orange peel in front of me. The texture is very creamy and spreads very easily. A little goes a long way. I applied a small amount to both eyes morning and nigh after cleansing. Loved the minty fresh feeling as it sinks in. I like to use eye creams for at least a month before a review but since I had a great experience, I decided to go ahead with the review.
Valentia’s True Glow Eye Cream lives up to its claims. It was extremely soothing under my eyes with a mildly minty tingle (which I love in an eye cream). It soaked right in and within 10 minutes my eyes were less puffy and more taut making my fine lines diminished. I have been using it morning and night for 2 weeks now and has it rid me of puffiness, diminished fine lines & dark circles, I also noticed that the area has brightened. Brightness is something that is hard to come by with eye creams so I was super excited about that! I like to give an eye cream at least a month so I’m excited to see what the full benefits are. This one is a keeper and I worked it into my daily routine. I would recommend this cream 100% and rate it a 5/5. If you are looking for an affordable and effective eye cream this is it.

My experience using Valentia Ultra plumping Hydration Mask:
When this mask arrived I was shocked at the size of the tub and I knew I would get plenty of uses out this 4 ounce tub-like container. The package is simple with a white and gold theme, a very clean and classic look. When I opened the container I noticed a completely different scent from the eye cream. This has a very strong scent of acai. If you like acai then you will like the smell of this mask. The color of the mask itself is a little off-putting (yellowy-orange) not a shade I would associate with a face mask, but it wasn’t enough to stop me, considering all the claims Valentia makes about it. Valencia also says it’s suitable for all skin types. The formula is a jelly consistency with a lot of wiggle. The directions say to apply to face avoiding the eye area and leave on for 15-20 mins. A slight tingling sensation is normal. Use a damp cloth and warm water to remove. The first time I used this it was right after cleansing and I applied a liberal amount (no directions on how much to use). Within 30 seconds I had a burning sensation that was intense enough that I had to rinse it off. I wasn’t ready to give up so I chalked it up to open pores from the cleansing. The next time I did the same except I finished cleansing with cold water to close the pores and I had a much better experience. The acai scent becomes stronger as the mask is on which was ok with me. It no longer burned but did have an intense tingle that lasts for about 3-4 minutes. I kept the mask on for a full 20 minutes then rinsed.
This mask has a strong scent and a pretty intense tingling. The scent appeared to heighten the longer the mask was on. This mask does not fully dry unless you apply a very thin layer. The effects were positive with my skin being super smooth, soft, and slightly more supple. Considering this mask is suitable for all skin types, I am not sure if I was having a reaction with the burning/intense tingling or the description of a mild tingle is understated. I would like to know if anyone experienced this so please comment. I would rate this a 4/5 because of the strong scent and intense tingling sensation, otherwise it did hold up to it’s claims.
If you are interested in purchasing this mask, it retails for $25 and you can find it here.
