July Treasures~2015

I’m calling this series “Treasures” because I wanted to be able to include everything related to beauty, fashion, and blogging. I also wanted to provide a place where beauty/fashion bloggers everywhere can share favs with me. I am always on the lookout for a new beauty product or the latest fashion trends and I hope this helps those of you who are currently on the hunt for something great.

I recently went on a Colourpop spending spree after reading other blogger’s reviews. After trying several products, I just can’t get over the quality vs price. 5 bucks for a lipstick or eyeshadow? Seriously!!! Needless to say, my first fav of the month is a Lippie from Colourpop named Frida it’s just the perfect rosy nude color. I love the fact that this is an everyday neutral color that I can wear to work. It’s silky smooth but somewhat matte looking, especially if you prep with a lip primer.

The second product is another Colourpop product called Super Shock Cheek blush that can be applied with a synthetic brush for a lighter natural look or with your finger for a more intense cheek popper. Colourpop’s products are very versatile and second to price, that’s why I LOVE them. Frida and Hysterical compliment each extremely  well and together they provide the perfect natural glow.

The one thing that I haven’t been able to live without during the latest heat wave is my Urban Decay B6 Vitamin Infused Complexion prep. I use this after a shower and it makes my face feel amazing and actually relaxes me at bedtime (sounds silly but it’s true). I also carry this in my bag and use it throughout the day to freshen up. I’m not sure what the science behind this is but I am thoroughly convinced that this greatly reduced my rosacea.

The next treasure is my absolute favorite item in my shoe collection right now. The Kelsey Dagger Brooklyn Sandal is the most comfortable, strappy, and stylish thing I own at the moment. This was a gift from a Brooklyn native and they are getting plenty of wear this month. They are a bit on the expensive side but I promise they are worth every penny.

Turquoise and opal set in silver have been my jewelry choices this month and they also happen to be my favorite summertime colors. Silver really pops when you have a nice tan going on. This is the collection I have been tossing around all month and they are mostly very cheap eBay purchases.

Last, but certainly not least, is a new Lip Primer by Make. I picked this up in the Birchbox Flagship store. A sales associate recommended it and this primer is the only one I have found that truly fills in those lines and gives my lips a smooth and flawless appearance. Just be sure to allow the primer to fully dry before applying your lipstick and it works like a charm.

Hope you enjoyed my favorites. Give us some lip and share yours….

    • Thank Kayla!! The sandals are in my top 5 gifts ever. I just walked 8 miles in one day with no trouble at all! They really are so comfortable. If you can find an Urban Outfitter employee you may be able to snag them much cheaper!
